Mentoring Dinners with BYU EMBA & Finance Students 05-27-2015
Dinner with BYU EMBA Students was held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Peking Garden in Central. These 20 EMBA students from BYU came to Hong Kong with great enthusiasm to learn more about the market in Asia. We, the Hong Kong Chapter, did not let them down as we arranged for them to dine with some of the most successful local professionals from various industries, including finance, human resources, sales and marketing. All participants left the event with great connections and planned to stay in touch with one and other in the future. It was a successful networking experience for both parties.
Dinner with BYU I3 Students was held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Asia Area Church Administrative Building. Similar to the EMBA students, these finance undergraduates also have a strong interest in doing international business. Being young and aspiring, they filled the chapel with exciting energy, as they met with close to 20 seasoned professionals invited by the Hong Kong Chapter. With the little time they had together, the students seized every opportunity to network with as many professionals as they could. Every participant of the event anxiously engaged in the one-on-one conversations as well as the panel discussions, and we all left, feeling edified. It was a successful night.
"The food was great, the mentoring was amazing, and we all walked away with a better understanding of work, work life balance, and keeping the gospel first in our lives. It was perfect." - Bryan Sudweeks, BYU Finance Professor
